Over the weekend, we made a few changes under the bonnet of Sage One. Whilst most of these changes were made to make the Sage One engine run even more smoothly, there are some small changes that we’d like to make you aware of.
Change to our Billing Email address
If you pay Sage directly for Sage One, you currently receive an email from us every month, informing you that your invoice is ready. This email usually comes from “firstname.lastname@example.org“. Following this release, this email address will change to “email@example.com” so make sure to add the new email to your Safe Senders list.
The way your invoice looks will also be changing a little – it will now carry the Sage logo rather than the Sage One logo (see screenshot below).
Sage One Payroll RTI – Import Contacts from HMRC
If you employ people, you will by now have heard about HMRC’s Real Time Information PAYE legislation (we’ve written loads about it elsewhere on our blog – check out our RTI / PAYE posts).
In this release of Sage One Payroll, we’ve made it super easy for you to import your data from HMRC’s Basic PAYE Tools to Sage One Payroll. We’re so proud of this feature, we’ve written a separate blog post all about it titled ‘How to migrate to Sage One Payroll in under 5 minutes!‘
Connect with Sage Pay Feature
Connecting with Sage Pay is now done in its own area of Accounts Settings rather than in the ‘Manage Service’ area.
If you already use the Connect with Sage Pay feature, you will be used to seeing the ‘Connect With Sage Pay’ button on your Sage One homepage. Following this release, this button will no longer appear on your Homepage. However you can access your My Sage Pay login page by following this link: https://live.sagepay.com/MySagePay/
Previously, Sage One Accounts and Sage One Payroll settings would have both been available directly from the ‘Settings’ area. To make it a little clearer for our users, there are now specific Settings areas for each service.

Sage One Accountants
If you’re a Sage One Accountant, the main change is that you will now be directed to the Direct Debit Wizard if you have not already provided your payment details and attempt to add a client.
Accountant Edition Direct Debit Wizard
Sage One Accountants also now have a Billing Settings area where you can view their billing contact, set up a new Direct Debit or view your Sage One Invoices, summarised and with a detailed breakdown.
