by Keith Arkle (Commercial Development Manager, Sage One).
Last week (22-23 November), the Sage One team joined the UK small business community and our colleagues from Sage UK and Sage Pay to attend The Great British Business Show at Olympia in London. Over 25,000 small businesses packed out the Olympia Exhibition Centre to see highly respected speakers, interactive stands and industry leading suppliers.
It’s always a great opportunity to meet lots of our fab customers – both new and old for the first time and share news of what’s happening in the world of Sage One. We also met a new generation of business owners who’d heard of Sage One Accounts and Sage One Payroll and were curious as to what it is all about.
Lots of businesses wanted to know how Sage One would help them:
- Spend less time dealing with their books
- Affordably keep their books right without compromise
- Work better with their accountants and bookkeeper
- Manage their books without having to learn how
- Reduce their payroll costs
Two days of demos, lots of sore throats and swollen feet later we left Olympia feeling great having received lots of great feedback, ideas for the future (we’ve already started work them) and business cards from people interested in working with us.
My favourite bit of feedback was from a graduate developer who said: “What I really like about Sage One is that I’ve only seen it for 5 minutes and I feel like I can jump on the train, log in and start using it without the worry of ‘what does this mean?’ or ‘what will happen if I press this?’…It’s a great bit of kit, not that I should be surprised given that everyone knows you’re the best at this stuff right?”
If you missed the show and can’t wait until next year to come visit us, don’t worry as we’ll be appearing at some more events over the next 12 months. In addition our website has some great videos about what you can do with Sage One and how it can make your life as a business owner easier.
