Sage One support for Start-Up Loans

Here at Sage One we’re committed to supporting new businesses and are delighted to be part of the Government-backed Start-Up Loans scheme for 18-30yr old entrepreneurs (the upper age limit was increased from 24 on 3rd January 2013).

As part of a pilot programme for the North East and Cumbria, all successful loan applicants from the region will receive a FREE 12 month license for our cloud-based accounts and payroll software to help them manage their finances.

Keith Arkle (Commercial Development Manager, Sage One) said: “Sage are a real success story for the North East and proof that the region is a centre for innovation. It’s important that we put something back into the community and help the next generation of start-up businesses come through so when the opportunity to support this initiative came up we jumped at the chance. We wish every applicant the very best of luck!”

The loans are part of a nationwide initiative designed to encourage more young people to take the first step into business and also come with free business advice, training and mentoring from the three main delivery partners – PNE Enterprise (a not-for-profit enterprise agency based in Newcastle), Virgin Money and Virgin Unite.

Richard Clark (PNE’s Director of Workspace) said: “It’s great to see Sage getting involved. As a lender it’s good to know your borrowers have first rate financial systems.”

Loan applicants can borrow between £250-£25,000 at an interest rate of 6% APR repayable over 3yrs (although the average amount is expected to be around £2,500).

So, if you’re aged 18-30 and starting a business in the North East and Cumbria, apply online now at: www.startuploansnortheast.co.uk or call the PNE Enterprise team on 0191 230 6410 for further information. (Even if you’re not eligible or interested in the loan, you can still grab a FREE 30 day trial of Sage One Accounts or Payroll from us today)!
