The Sage One Accounts App for Outlook

We’re really ‘appy (get it?!) to announce that Sage One Accounts is the first accounting software for small businesses available through the newly launched Microsoft Office Apps Store.

The Sage One Accounts app will allow you to read emails from your contacts, and at the same time securely view important information about that contact, such as outstanding invoices, without leaving Microsoft Outlook.

Requirements to use the app are:

It’s really easy to get up and running and the way you access the app will depend on whether you’re using the web or desktop version of Office 2013 Preview.

For Office Preview Web Version:

1)   Once you have Office running and you are logged in, select the Cog in the top right of the screen and select Manage Apps then select Find More Apps.

2)   The Apps for Outlook 2013 screen will appear.  In the Search for apps field at the top of the screen, enter Sage One and press the looking glass icon. The Sage One App will appear.

3)   Select Sage One and select Add and follow the onscreen instructions.

4)   Once the app is installed you will see Sage One in the blue bar above the email from your customers or suppliers.

5)   Click Sage One and our login screen will appear.

6)   Select Sign in and a new window will appear and you’ll need to enter your Sage One credentials (the browser will either close the window or ask you to close it).

7)   Once the window has been closed, the email from your customer/supplier will now change to show you their information. This is our Office app!

For Office 2013 for desktop for Windows 7 and 8.

1)   Once you are in your Outlook application, select File and then select Manage Apps.

2)   Select Find More Apps on Office.com.

3)   The Apps for Outlook 2013 screen will appear. In the Search for apps field at the top of the screen, enter Sage One and press the looking glass icon. The Sage One App will appear.

4)   Select Sage One and select Add and follow the onscreen instructions.

5)   Once the app is installed you will see Sage One in the blue bar above the email from your customers or suppliers.

6)   Click Sage One and our login screen will appear.

7)   Select Sign in and a new window will appear and you’ll need to enter your Sage One credentials (the browser will either close the window or ask you to close it).

8)   Once the window has been closed, the email from your customer/supplier will now change to show you their information. This is our Office app!
