Sage One Google+ Hangout on RTI (Real Time Information)

On Thursday 21st Feb 2013, we broadcasted a live, Google+ Hangout on Real Time Information (RTI) and what Sage / Sage One are doing to help British businesses migrate to the new system for processing their PAYE payroll on 6th April.

Whether you’re completely new to RTI legislation or a bit of a pro, Jon Cowan (Sage), Neilson Watts (Sage One) and Paul Lancaster (Sage One) covered tonnes of ground in the 35mins chat so there’s bound to be something in here which is of value to you, your employer, or your clients if you are an accountant or run payroll for someone else.

Please watch the video below and share it with anyone who you think will benefit from this information. This isn’t a Sage sales pitch but instead a useful resource for anyone with employees or who supports small businesses in the UK.

How well has Sage One been taken up…I read somewhere that there was only around 2000 customers…is this true

Overall I like SAGEONE but it does have its limitations.

    1. Does everyone know they have to update their employees Tax Codes in April 2013 in line with HMRC legislation?  This is not done automatically by SAGE.

2.I run a small payroll where some employees are members of a Pension Scheme, all of them on different rates.  These have to be inputted every month manually.

I repeat that overall I like SAGE but feel there are some areas where it could be improved.

Hi Mark, that’s an old figure. At the end of the 2012 financial year we had over 6100 paying customers using Sage One and more and more people are signing up each month. Thanks Paul Lancaster.
